FuNN is more than a daycare center

FuNN is a learning experience designed to spark creativity, wonder, and imagination. A space created for children allowing them to freely engage with and explore their environment and interact with the materials. A space where they can feel safe, take risks, ask questions and build confidence. With a mixed age group of friends, we will learn to help, model, and grow together while practicing self-regulation, executive function, setting and honoring boundaries, empathy, and kindness.

The years from birth to five years of age are the most formative and important in a child’s life. FuNN recognizes the importance of academics and Kinder readiness. This is why teaching the fundamentals is vital. It is the foundation in which All life skills based. Through guided learning and play, FuNN is determined to capitalize on these formative years. FuNNdementals has been created with the most up to date developmentally appropriate practices in mind and with the child at heart.

Play Based Learning Program

Our Curriculum is fluid and can be adapted to meet the needs of each age group and each child’s individual learning style. It is interactive, FuNN, and geared towards school readiness. Allowing your child to explore while developing and practicing foundational and fundamental skills such as pencil grasp, cutting paper, writing and more.

Learning Centers

Math, Science, Writing, Reading, Library, Art, Dramatic Play, Music and Movement, and Outdoor play space.

Our interactive classroom will keep you child engaged with activities that will spark imagination and wonder.

Building the future one block at a time

Some children see a building block, some see the block as a hamburger or a dinosaur. Children see the world through imaginative play. Building on the child’s interest our curriculum is fluid allowing adjustment when children show interest in a subject or activity. Expanding on their ideas builds the confidence they need to construct an amazing future.

Social Emotional Growth and Development

Social Emotional techniques are woven throughout the program. The importance of self-regulation managing emotions, setting boundaries, and giving language to our feelings is an important skill set. The Cozy Corner is a space that allows children to practice these skills. A place to reset when feeling overwhelmed, or to express emotions with our emotion spots. The Nugget Couch also doubles as a fort on indoor recess days!

As a Frederick resident I believe that our rural communities deserve access to amazing quality early childhood education with affordable rates. I am excited to announce that FuNN has crated partnerships with CCCAP, UPK and United Way Early Childhood Council. I am committed to the expansion and support of new quality learning programs and support community partnerships and collaboration.
